In the heart of rural Sussex lies Bolney Wine Estate, one of England’s oldest and most beautiful vineyards. A three-generation family business led by Sam Linter, we have been guided by nature since 1972 when our first vines were planted. Guided by nature – the mild climate and the sandstone soil – we spent years discovering the best varieties of grapes to grow in our eco-system. We work carefully and mindfully when harvesting and we believe that the more we understand and take inspiration from the nature around us the more we can appreciate its needs and protect its diversity and beauty for future generations.

Sam, along with her expert team produces award-winning still and sparkling wines from our famous Pinot Noir and Estate Bacchus to our classic sparkling Bolney Bubbly and Blanc de Blancs. We also produce Rosso Vermouth and Bolney Estate Gin using foraged hedgerow fruits and herbs. 

Bolney Wine Estate has become synonymous with quality wine in a contemporary style thanks to our exceptional winemaking. We are proud to have been endorsed by our peers in the industry with a string of awards. We are also delighted to be flying the flag for English Wine on a global scale, exporting our wines to the US, China, Scandinavia, Japan and Northern Europe. 

You will find our wines at premium retailers and independent wine shops all over the UK and abroad. You will also find them at selected hotels, restaurants and bars. We were the first English wine to be served at Wimbledon and can be found at Ascot, Goodwood and the Jockey Club. 

Alongside our wine, we offer a unique vineyard experience in a glorious setting, with views to the South Downs and an abundance of wildlife all around. Visitors can enjoy a great day out at Bolney Wine Estate, where they can stroll through acres of vines and marvel at the many different varieties of grapes that go into the fantastic Bolney range.

We have a new, state-of-the-art winery, which is fascinating even for non-wine drinkers, and a tasting room where all the fun of sampling happens. We also have a café restaurant, wine bar and Vineyard Shop, with a range of award-winning wines to taste. Enjoy a glass of Bolney Bubbly on the balcony, take in the stunning view and take a bottle or two of our wine home to continue the experience.
