The Design Range
The premium 'design range' from Dometic are their premium range of wine cabinets that are all available in black with frameless glass doors. There is a range of dual zone models which can be used as single zone units but also a couple of single zone units in the smaller models.
Their undercounter models are available in widths of 15cm, 30cm, 40cm and 60cm wide - with the 40cm being a super rare size at the moment so this should be received well. Most of the undercounter models have a lock which is also removable with the grille at the front as well should you wish to recess your plinth in front of them.
The in column units are premium units with self-ventilating technology which makes them very easy to install as you do not need to include a service channel or plinth ventilation.
Their taller built in models which can also be utilised as freestanding models are front venting so are able to have cabinets wrapped around them but one thing that makes the Dometic taller models unique is the depth - they are very shallow at only 575mm deep which means they fit neatly into standard 600mm deep kitchen cabinets.
All of the premium design range come with white LED lighting down the side walls, matt black trimmed shelving and a curved black handle - in the flesh they look fantastic.
The Classic Range
The Classic range is designed to more cost effective than the Design range but still comes with some of the features and sizes that the Design range have. As standard all of the Classic range from Dometic come in a stainless steel finish and curved stainless steel handle, they are also single temperature zone throughout the whole range which increases the bottle capacity slightly.
The Classic Range is available in 30cm wide and 60cm wide for undercounter installation and also the two taller models in 60cm wide versions. They have capacities ranging from 20 bottles, right upto 125 Bordeaux bottles - the bottles are all lit up by white LED lighting which is down the side walls of all of the Classic range.
The smaller undercounter models have a double glazed door and the larger ones have a triple glazed door to help with energy saving and heat loss.
Dometic Essential Range
The Essential range is where it all started for Dometic's wine cooler venture, they are known around Euope for their style and reliability - for cost effective units like this they are designed with reliability in mind. Yes they come with less features but on the most part the wine fridges are composed of the same parts in the Classic range.
A major benefit to the Essential range is the bottle capacities, they are by far the highest of their kind - this is down to the fewer shelves but if you want to cram as many bottles as possible into a limited space these units are ideal. Of course additional shelves can also be purchased if required.
