Dometic - 195 bottle single zone wine fridge - B195S
Dometic are an international company with their roots starting Sweden back in 1922 when Baltzar von Platen and Carl Munters invented the 'cooling cabinet' - since then they have expanded their refrigeration operation to cover lots of varying areas and with a particular focus on portable refrigeration where they are known throughout the world for creating high quality portable fridges and freezers. With the wine industry expanding at the rate it is today, their wine coolers are designed with the consumer in mind and are very quiet running machines and adaptable so you can use various shelves to support both beverages and wine as well.
The Classic Line
The Essential line from Dometic is their entry level range which shares many of the same components with the Classic line but there are a few key differences with these models, there are fewer shelves to start with which are slightly thinner which enables you to increase the bottle capacity in the wine fridge by stacking the bottles more.
The lighting is now just in the ceiling and the white LED lights are powerful enough to light up your wines when the door is opened. Another noticeable feature of the larger Classic models is the solid door which is designed for optimal storage conditions whilst also being single zone units which are quiet running and all supported by Dometics own service department for 2 years parts and labour.
Freestanding or Built in Wine Fridge
The Dometic B195S is designed as a built in wine fridge for use within a 60cm wide space, although it can also be used as a freestanding model if required. The curved stainless steel handle and white LED lighting in the ceiling of the wine cooler are a real focal point for this model. The control panel is easy to use and mounted on the inside of the cabinet creating a sleek finish on the outside.
Wine Storage Compartment
With space for 195 Bordeaux bottles this is one of the highest capacity 600mm wide shallow depth wine fridges on the market which is thanks to the fewer shelves but lots of additional usable slats within the wine cooler. All of the classic range are single temperature zone units which means they are one constant temperature throughout the whole cooler so is ideal for either a white wine serving temperature or a red wine serving temperature as the Classic range operates as standard between 5 and 22°C.
Energy Efficiency and Noise Level
All of the Dometic 'design' wine coolers are quiet running machines at only 42dB, having witnessed these units running in the flesh Elite Wine Refrigeration can vouch for this. They also meet their new energy label requirements, rated G, 109 kWh /annum.
With offices throughout the UK and their own service network for all their products here in the UK - Dometic's support level is second to none and Elite Wine is extremely happy to be appointed the distributor for the UK.To find out more about Dometic's wine fridges and the range of products/accessories they offer, you can find their brochure here.

No, we can not supply all of our goods throughout Europe, for the UK we have exclusive rights to most brands we carry. The only brand of wine cabinets we cannot supply in the Republic of Ireland is LIEBHERR - please note the delivery information on the product pages.
We offer this service in certain areas of the UK as we use a specialist logistics company for this, please enquire directly as to whether we offer this service in your area. Please note, this service is not available in Northern Ireland and Republic or Ireland. This service is at an additional cost and is not included in the normal price of delivery.
Prior to delivery, our email notifications to customers always include requests for any obstructions and/or additional instructions that may restrict delivery (for example, steps, narrow staircase etc). If in the unlikely event that the delivery is unsuccessful due to access issues, additional charges will be incurred.
For Northern Ireland and ROI 2 person deliveries, our logistics partner will contact you to arrange the delivery - at this point you should make them aware of any delivery obstructions.
We will not accept claims for damage if this hasn't been noted at the point of delivery - our delivery company will give you an opportunity to check the goods once unpacked and note any damage.
For kerbside deliveries, we strongly advise you to unpack the goods before signing for the delivery, especially if there is damage to the packaging.
We do not offer installation on integrated wine coolers as standard, we can offer this service with the network of sub-contractors we use. Please contact us if you need further assistance with this prior to purchase to see if we can offer assistance in your area.
Delivery will be between 8 and 6pm Monday - Friday, the driver will call the recipient 1 hour before delivery.
AM/PM delivery can be arranged at the time of checkout with a surcharge.
We recommend you contact us before placing the order so we can discuss the available delivery options - we are able to deliver to the whole of the UK and ROI but the level of service may vary.
A kerbside delivery is via a freight company and the wine cooler/wine wall will be delivered just to the kerbside so please make sure there are people on site to accept the goods. We strongly advise you check the goods before accepting - any signs of damage should be noted on the delivery note.
For kerbside deliveries, it is important to ensure the goods are checked before signing for the item. In the event the goods arrive damaged, please refuse delivery. Once the goods are signed for we can not guarantee the claim for damage will be accepted.
If you cancel your order and the goods are still in our warehouse, then there will be no charge - if you cancel your order when the goods have left our warehouse and collected by our courier, we will deduct the cost of the delivery from the refund. As an indication, the cost of this will vary depending on the size of the unit and will be in the range of £75 to £145+VAT.
We strongly advise you check the dimensions of the product before ordering, some of our products are ordered in especially for this order and means the order cannot be cancelled once the goods have been collected.
Yes absolutely, we have a vast logistics network that we use daily to bring in our goods from all around Europe and beyond - please contact us for delivery costs. Some of the most popular countries we deliver to are: Spain, France, Germany, Sweden and Norway. **due to Brexit, we have currently suspended our services**
Signing for items at time of delivery
It is extremely important to check all items for damage before signing and accepting them. We will not be able to accept any claims for damaged items if you have signed the delivery paperwork and accepted goods.
Please take the following steps:
1. If our delivery team have not already done so, please take the item out of its packaging (do not just look at the packaging)
2. Inspect goods carefully (all the sides, corners and doors if applicable)
3. If there is no damage, accept and sign
4. If there is damage do not accept or sign (you can instead write Delivery refused as item damaged)
Once goods are signed for we cannot be held responsible for any damages and the customer is required to prove to us the damage was there before delivery.
Please make sure that anyone who might accept a delivery for you understands this, please also make sure the person who is signing for goods on your behalf is over 18 and if its your 'acceptor' you are obliged to make sure they know they have to inspect the goods properly before signing.
Customers are responsible for being present for their delivery as freight companies contact customers prior to their delivery day and may advise whether it is an AM/PM delivery. If a delivery fails because there is nobody available to receive it on the day it has been booked or delivery fails for a reason out of our control, then a re-delivery charge of £100 + VAT will be levied for the failure. The delivery will not be re-booked until this charge is paid.
We reserve the right to deliver to the door step or kerbside should the property not be accessible with a 2 person team and trolley. We request any access issues to be sent to us prior to delivery so we can make the necessary arrangements - should we not be informed of any stairs etc, we reserve the right to deliver to the kerbside or charge the unsuccessful delivery charge as noted above.
Northern Ireland & the Republic of Ireland information 🍀
Elite Wine has recently expanded back into Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland after the initial Brexit turmoil which forced us to stop sending goods across the water.
The good news is, we are now fully operational with a warehouse, logistics and servicing all supported across NI and ROI - You will probably have lots of queries about how our deliveries work here so below you will find a short guide.
There are not duties to pay as we customs clear all the goods when transferring to our Northern Ireland warehouse, VAT it charged at checkout so there is also no VAT to pay on delivery
We aim to deliver all units with 10-14 working days for stock items and units that we have to bring in within 3-4 weeks. We have weekly transfers on a Friday from our mainland UK warehouse. The goods will arrive in Northern Ireland usually on a Monday and then you will receive a call from our logistics company to schedule a delivery date.
Our standard delivery is a 2 person delivery to the room of choice (groundfloor), unpack, position and removal of packaging - if there are stairs involved or any tricky access points we will ask you send us photos before hand so we can ensure the delivery will go ok.
Our logistics company will offer you certain time slots for you to pick from and you will also receive an ETA via SMS on the evening/morning of delivery.
Please contact us at email@example.com and we will get this over to you!
If your wine fridge develops a fault, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will support you through the process of raising a service case - we are fully equipped with a network of technicians across the island to assist us with any aftersales issues.
We list the dimensions of every product within the specification, however if you are unsure please contact us on 0333 577 6466.

If you are not happy with your wine fridge, please contact us on email@example.com
We ask that you keep all the packaging and do not use or install the wine fridge so that we can resell as a new item. If you don't keep the packaging or it is installed, we will not be able to accept a return. Please note there are collection charges for all returns which vary from £80 / 85Euro up to £130 / 145 Euro depending on size and location.
As we develop across Ireland we are looking for new partners to help build our distribution network and showrooms - if you are a business and would like to work with us, please do get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
We can deliver all of our products to Ireland apart from Liebherr, if you order a Liebherr appliance we will unfortunately have to cancel the order - we can deliver Liebherr to Northern Ireland, though.
